monthly recap | july 2016
Wow! Wine, Books, & Wanderlust is almost a month old! I really appreciate everyone's support and patience while I learn the in's and out's of this blogging thing. I'm really enjoying it and the response has been overwhelming.
I've opted to present a recap at the end of each month to highlight some of the tops posts, based on comments and Facebook likes. I'm still building this out so if you know of anyone who's interested in the topics of books, booze, grub, and vacations...please send them this way!
hpotm (hot post of the month)
A little peek into the raunchy romance portion of my library. I may have overindulged in "potato chip reading" over my vacation.
travels
The Man Friend and I enjoyed two mini-reunion trips this month: our annual family river trip to the Frio and our California buddy vacation in Seattle. You should also check out my recommendations for carry-on essentials and how to keep your head on when your travel plans fall apart.
food
Nosh on some decadent fruit pizza or go the more musical fruit route with some yummy black beans. My personal favorite recipe from this month was definitely the fresh pesto. Yum!
upcoming plans
For once, my travel schedule is wide open. It's been a while since the Man Friend and I don't have a trip planned together, though he is going on a guys' weekend with his dad mid-month. However, I'm actually kind of excited about not having any plans. Or perhaps I'm still recovering from the return flight from hell last week. I want to use the time at home to come up with lots of yummy recipes and read lots of fantastic books. I'm excited to say hello to August!
