Tomorrow, the Man Friend and I are headed on another adventure. It's a place we've never been to before, which is always exciting.

[helpful hint: follow us on Instagram @winebookswanderlust or Twitter @winebookswander to enjoy it with us vicariously]

However, while I should be packing, I'm debating if I should check a bag or carry on. My OCD/ADD (WebMD diagnosed) is in overdrive right now...I just keep going down little rabbit holes and I can't make a decision to save my life.

So...I'll write a little bit to see what I can come up with. [clockwise from top left]

My Must-Have Carry-On Items

  • Bose In-Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones - Honestly, I'm kind of a jerk when I travel. I'm perfectly content to not speak to anyone other than a quick hello to a seat mate (or to ask for a mid-flight cocktail). These are also fantastic for drowning out those obnoxious people who are on the phone until the moment we take off and are back on it the moment we land...among other very loud things.
  • Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer - I'm 100% addicted to this brand and Bobbi Brown's lip balm because they don't dry out my lips. They also stay put and don't have a sickly sweet flavor.
  • Nerd girl glasses - Contacts suck on flights. That's why.
  • Apple iPad - Filled with games, work stuff, and several different apps like DuoLingo (J'apprends à parler Français) and Evernote.
  • Amazon Kindle Paperwhite - While I've admitted to being behind on my reading, flights are the perfect opportunity to catch up. I usually go through 2-5 books per vacation and those get reeeeally heavy to carry after a while.
  • Neutrogena Hand Cream - I wash my hands in airports a lot (because ewwww). These little tubes are portable and just a little dab does the trick! I prefer the fragrance-free variety.
  • Anker Portable Charger - My model is older than the one I've linked to, but NBD. I usually have a charger case on my phone but wouldn't you know it? Mine crapped out of me last week and I'm waiting for the replacement to come in. However, this is slim and portable...it'll fit in a purse in a pinch.
  • Travel journal - Because I have my own damn travel, food, and book blog. And I'm a notetaker and list maker. And I liked the pretty color.

Optional Items:

One fat cat.
